About Green Concrete

Our Innovation

Green Concrete

The innovation combines self-healing and CO₂-capturing concrete, addressing two critical issues in modern construction: the need for durable infrastructure and the urgent environmental challenge of reducing carbon emissions. By integrating bacteria that repair cracks in concrete with materials that capture CO₂ during the curing process, this technology not only enhances the concrete’s durability but also minimizes its environmental footprint. The bacterial strains
used are activated by moisture, which triggers their metabolic process, converting calcium lactate into calcium carbonate. This natural process effectively fills cracks in the concrete, significantly extending its lifespan and reducing the need for costly and resource-intensive repairs.
In addition to the self-healing properties, the concrete captures CO₂ from the atmosphere, particularly during its curing phase. This interaction is made possible by the specific formulation of the concrete, which includes unique materials designed to react with CO₂, forming solid carbonates and sequestering carbon within the structure. This dual-function concrete solves the problem of carbon emissions by acting as both a carbon sink and a highly durable building material. Unlike conventional concrete, which is a major contributor to global carbon emissions, this innovation offers a promising solution to reduce the carbon footprint of the construction industry.

Mission

We aim to redefine the construction industry by creating sustainable materials that prioritize both environmental stewardship and structural integrity. Through this project, we aspire to inspire others to think critically and creatively about solving global challenges.

Impact

Green concrete combats climate change by capturing carbon dioxide, reducing emissions, and extending structure lifespan with self-healing properties. It saves costs, minimizes waste, and aligns economic and environmental goals—creating immense value for all stakeholders.

Why Green Concrete?

Reducing Maintenance Costs

Eliminates the need for frequent repairs and replacements by autonomously fixing small cracks.

Enhancing Durability

Extends the lifespan of paved surfaces, ensuring longer usability for driveways, walkways, and public spaces.

Improving Safety

Prevents the growth of cracks that could cause tripping hazards or compromise structural integrity.

Environmental Sustainability

Minimizes resource consumption and waste associated with traditional concrete repairs, contributing to eco-friendly construction practices.

Convenience for Consumers

Provides a "set it and forget it" solution that reduces time, effort, and worry about surface deterioration.
